Cecil England, age 91, of Gallatin, entered into peace on May 31, 2025.
He was born June 22, 1933, in Glendean, Kentucky. Cecil served in the United States Army for 23 years, until he retired. Cecil was known to be altruistic; he was always concerned for the wellbeing of others. Cecil had a generous spirit, and it was his personal endeavor to befriend strangers and lend a helping hand. He was a nurturing father and grandfather, and the security net for his family. Cecil is the heart of many treasured memories for his family. He loved to cook, go fishing, and yard sale shopping. He was also a talented songwriter and enjoyed playing the acoustic guitar. For the past 40 years, Cecil has attended First Free Methodist Church of Gallatin.
Cecil will be remembered for all the laughs he shared, and the infinite love he had to give. He will be dearly and sorely missed, and his memory will be cherished.
Cecil G. England is survived by his children, Patricia Dagg (Tim), Jeffery England (Sheila), Cathy Abel (Gary), Cecilia Cabeza Grimes (Paul); 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Paul England.
He was preceded in death by his sons, John David England, Jimmy England; father, James England; mother, Grace (Embry) England; siblings, Ed Tom England, Ralph England, Dorothy Bratcher, and Mary England.
Crestview Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements in honor of Cecil England.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Gallatin First Free Methodist Church, located 568 N. Water Ave., Gallatin, TN, 37066. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. and continue until service time 11:00 A.M.
Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M., in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, located 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN, 37221.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request memorial donations be made to Disabled American Veterans (www.help.dav.org).

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
