Gallatin, Tennessee - With heavy hearts, we announce that Mary Frank Adgent, affectionately known as "Mankee," passed peacefully on May 29, 2026, at the age of 87.

She was born on May 24, 1939, to the late Frank and Peggy Ligon and was also preceded in death by her beloved sister, Nancy Jo Martin, and brother-in-law, Carsey Martin.

Mary Frank was a devoted mother to her daughters, Karen Green and Kim Wynn (Rob), and a proud grandmother to Baylee Johnson (Evan) and Cole Green (fiancée, Paige Chapman). She was also the delighted new great-grandmother of Scottie Blair Johnson. In addition, she is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.

A faithful Christian and longtime member of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ, Mary Frank found great joy in her church family and her faith. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support made her a beloved friend to many. Whether sharing words of encouragement, homemade meals, or freshly baked treats, she was always there to laugh with others, offer comfort during difficult times, and lend a helping hand.

Mary Frank had a remarkable gift for nurturing and growing anything in her garden and found great joy in the beauty of nature. She was also an athlete who enjoyed playing softball and a dedicated public servant who served as an administrative clerk for Sumner County government.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Hartsville Pike Church of Christ on Wednesday, June 10, at 11:30 a.m., with Brother Doyle Farris officiating.

Mary Frank will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
